DOJO ENTRANCE CARD

METU Aikido Dojo Entrance Card System

The computer system which is a product of the own ideas and attempts of Metu Aikido Dojo, is a first among the dojos in Turkey and hoped to have many benefits in the future. The system involves a program which is going to be working with the use of a laptop and the entrance cards, that are going to be recognized by that system through barcodes. This system will provide us to take attendance of the day easily and to have access to the payment information of the students. In addition; the blood type and the emergency phone numbers for every student, the names and phone numbers of the parents of the kids are going to be available.

GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION

2008-2009 year 2^nd semester includes between March the 7^th 2009 and June the 1^st The information about registration which is valid during this period is below.

General Information

It is obliged to attend the introductory meeting or watch a session first to attend Metu Aikido Dojo. The 2^ndpresident Utku Havuç is responsible for all the questions and problems related to registration.

Limitations for Registration

No one is allowed to register, unless they are a student, graduate or an employee of METU.

The outsiders

Outsiders should communicate with İlker Gürel, the president of Kızılay Kartal Dojo.

NEW MEMBERS REGISTRATION

The procedure for the ones who haven't been a member of the dojo are as follows.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I have just enrolled into the dojo, how can I obtain the training outfits?

At the beginning of each term, the training outfits (gi) ordered in bulk for all the new students. It is prefered that the new students train in sweatsuits in tones of white till the gis arrive.

what is the EOA (Eurasia Aikido Organisation) passport?

Our Dojo is a member of an international organization, the EAO. With this passport one can attend all the seminars around Turkey, without paying an additional fee. Furthermore, all the jobs which one partakes in the dojo and seminars attended are noted in this passport which play an important role in the person’s own Black Belt examination.

where will the training take place?

Close to the student dormitories, near the covered swimming pool, is the “Baraka Ek Bina” where the training sessions take place.

may I watch your lessons to get more information about aikido and your dojo?

All our lessons are open to audiences. It is also mandatory to watch one lesson before enrolling to train in the dojo.

Oldies Aikido Group

This semester, no separate sessions are going to be held for the old and new students, hey going to be exercising together. The reason why the old group starts without waiting for everyone is the "continuous working" phlosopfhy of Budo and the high number of request from our students

The ones who are 5^th kyu and above can join the kids sessions.
