METU Aikido Dojo Entrance Card System

The computer system which is a product of the own ideas and attempts of Metu Aikido Dojo, is a first among the dojos in Turkey and hoped to have many benefits in the future. The system involves a program which is going to be working with the use of a laptop and the entrance cards, that are going to be recognized by that system through barcodes. This system will provide us to take attendance of the day easily and to have access to the payment information of the students. In addition; the blood type and the emergency phone numbers for every student, the names and phone numbers of the parents of the kids are going to be available.

STEPS FOR REGISTRATION

The procedure that should be followed for registration is below

1- Schedule

Kids Aikido Hours
SATURDAY: 15:30 – 16:30
SUNDAY: 15:30 – 16:00
PLACE: METU BARAKA SPORTS HALL

The registrations will be continuing without opening a new group for the new kids. The parents who are willing to practice aikido this semester can register to METU group is they are employees of METU and they can register to the Kızılay Dojo otherwise. After they get their basic education and become 5th kyu in Kızılay Dojo, they can begin attending kids lessons, this will take about six months.

2-audience

Parents should not watch kids lessons because of negative affect of students concentration.

3-age group

Aikido for kids group is for ages between 7 and 14. ( Sensei decides younger candidates.)

4-registration

Parents can come the lessons or can communicate with Köksal Muş (cellular: 05052490759 , e-mail: koksalmus [at] yahoo.com) for regastration.
Registration of aikido for kids will continue untill we full our quota.

5- documents required for registration:

  1. A photocopy of ids of both the kid and the parent (if the parent is a member of Metu, a photpcopy of the metu id).
  2. A photograph of the kid.
  3. Printing and filling the form of standards for approval of registration
  4. Filling the Form of Registration for Aikido for Kids online
  5. Paying 60 YTL to account numbered 4229-0969623 which is in the İŞ BANKASI Metu branch, for each term beginnig on the 15th day of every month and ending on the 15th day of next month and bringing the recipt or e-mailing the online reciept to koksalmus[at]yahoo.com.

8 June 2008 METU Aikido for kids end of the semester activity

METU Aikido for kids end of the semester activity was performed 8 June 2008 by METU Aikido head instructor Barış Şentuna in METU Baraka Gymnasium. Students of METU Aikido for kids performed some Aikido techniques and students get their certificates at the end of the activity.

7th Kyu Test


We congratulate the children who are succesful in the 7th kyu test hold in METU Aikido Dojo. Click for photos.

7-6 Kyu Test

As a result of the 7-6 Kyu test on February 4, students of aikido for kids Baran Babayiğit, Mustafa Cem Canbaz, Ceren Su Şahin and Berksu Güven are promoted to 6. Kyu. We congratulate them for their success.
